The Red Wing Shoes 877 Classic Moc Toe in Oro-legacy is a Classic Red Wing Shoes Mocassin style and is made in Red Wing, Minnesota. The Red Wing 877 boot is the most iconic Red Wing Shoe available. The Red Wing 877 was released by Red Wing Shoes during Autumn in 1952. The 8 inch Red Wing 877 was designed as a hunting boot. The Red Wing 877 was soon nicknamed 'Irish Setter’ because of the similarity of the colour of the gundog that would assist a hunter on his trip. In 2013 Red Wing introduced a new leather for the 877: Oro-Legacy leather as a tribute to the history of the 877 and 875 boots based on designs from the Red Wing archives. The Oro-Legacy leather is based on the leather from the legendary Red Wing Irish Setter boots from the 1970s. Because there is no pigment added during the finishing process of the Red Wing leather the natural character of the leather is emphasised. On top of that the Red Wing Oro-Legacy leather ages beautifully and shows great craftsmanship. The characteristic white Cushion Crepe Wedge sole with Traction Tred it provides maximum grip and outstanding comfort. The Red Wing 877 boot comes with the original gold/tan taslan round laces.
