Our man Benjamin did a wonderful feature on Free/Man on the Red Wing Shoes 2941  7" Classic Round toe in Dark Chocolate. The Red Wing Shoes 2941 are the original Irish Setters.  This 2941 Dark Chocolate is a 7 inch boot, based on the 1955’s RW 708 model. A boot that people wore whether they worked the land or in factories. Built to withstand the toughest work and weather conditions. Equipped with speed hooks, that allow you to put them on and take them off with minimal fuss, and a coffee-colored cushion crepe sole for outstanding support and comfort. They are almost sold out, so be quick if you have size 7.5 or 11 (40 or 44.5).
And did you mentioned the indigo traces on the inside of the boot in picture 3? That's the way we want to see it. Well done Benjamin!

Moc Monday

Tags: 877, 8131, Oro Russet, Oro-iginal, Vintage, Amsterdam, Classic Moc

The Moc's are the original work boot styles that made Red Wing famous. They where designed for the workers on the farms and factories with a lightweight crepe sole with a minimal tread design to reduce the mud and dirt that would  cleave to under your shoes. The name of the Moc came from the word moccasin, the Algonquian Indian word for shoe and became an icon for the Red Wing brand.
Last weeks we found some old late 19th-, early 20th century pictures of miners and factory workers wearing them, and we decided to make a shopwindow to celebrate this boot with its strong heritage.
In the window some new and old Red Wing Shoes 8131 6" Moc Oro-Russet's and 877 8" Classic Moc Oro-iginal's. Enjoy them all over here >
